No. Scanning a market never spends credits. Credits pay only for the research you run on a business, and every agent shows its price before you confirm.
Because company totals only mean something across a country. A chain with 400 locations should read 400, not the 3 that happen to be in your city. So a market scans the country once, shows you the slice you asked for, and lets you zoom out to a region or the whole country any time, with no new scan.

Branches are grouped under the company that runs them, and only merged when the evidence agrees: shared website, social pages or phone numbers. You see one company with its location count.
Strong means the trade is what the business centres on. Weak means it’s there but not the centre: a line, a counter or a parent trade. A business that isn’t the trade at all is dropped before it reaches your list. The label belongs to the search, so the same business can be Strong for car detailing and Weak for auto painting.
