What LocalSpect is

LocalSpect checks every business in a territory against what the user sells, then names the owner or manager who decides and why they need the user. It is for people who sell to local businesses: a trade in a city, a region or a whole country.

It differs from a lead database and from a Maps scraper in three ways. The territory is scanned when the user asks, not stored once. Each business is qualified by real-time research on the user’s own questions, with sources shown for every answer. Decision makers are searched live, at each branch and at head office, and their emails are checked against the business’s own domain.

How it works

  1. Name your market. Type a trade and a place: a city, a region or a whole country. Every business there is scanned into a list.
  2. Ask your questions. Write what makes a business right for you, in plain words. An agent researches each one and answers in a column you can filter.
  3. Reach the people who decide. Pick the businesses that fit and get the people who run them, with their email and direct line, ready for outreach.

Products and features

  • Market scan. Type a trade and a place. Every business there is scanned into a list when the user asks, not pulled from a stored database. Paid plans scan the whole country once per market and let the user zoom from city to country without a new scan.
  • Companies and locations. Branches are grouped under the company that runs them, merged only when the evidence agrees (shared website, social pages or phone numbers). A chain shows as one company with its true location count.
  • Questions in plain words. The user writes what makes a business right for them. An agent researches each business and answers in a column that can be filtered. Answers come back as Yes or No, a number, a choice or a short list.
  • Research agents. Ready-made agents for website contacts, social media, tech stack, year founded, chain and locations, company size and decision makers, plus the user’s own questions. Research depth is Quick, Standard or Deep.
  • Decision makers. Up to five people who run each location (owner, franchisee, manager) and up to five at the company that owns it, each with their LinkedIn, then their email and direct line on request.
  • Sources on every answer. Each answer shows its confidence, the sources it came from and the lines that gave the answer. When nothing credible is found it says Not found instead of guessing.
  • Your book and lists. Save the businesses being worked on, hide them from new results, keep lists and share them with the team.
  • Workspaces. Agencies keep each client’s markets, lists and people in a separate workspace.
  • Set up from a website. Paste a website and LocalSpect suggests the markets it sells to.
  • CSV export. Businesses, people and answers export to CSV for any other tool.

Coverage

Any country. The user picks a city, a county, a region or a whole country, and what is found follows what Google Maps lists in that place. Any trade works: dentists, cafés, garages, hotels, cleaners, gyms, plumbers, restaurants, accountants, vets and so on.

Pricing

Users subscribe to a plan that comes with credits. Scanning a market never uses credits; they are spent only on the research the user runs, business by business, and every agent shows its price before it runs.

  • Free. $0. Scans of one city, 100 businesses open per market, 100 credits a month, one member.
  • Starter. $40 a month. Whole-country scans, every business in the market, true location counts, direct phone numbers, lists and CSV export.
  • Standard. $150 a month. Unlimited markets and members, auto-recharge credits.
  • Pro. $500 a month. Deep research on every agent, priority scans, the lowest credit price on recharges.
  • Enterprise. Custom credit block and rate, custom scan volume, invoiced billing, onboarding, data processing agreement. Quoted through the contact page.

Yearly billing is 20% off. There are no per-seat fees on any plan. Credit allowances and recharge prices can change, so quote the pricing page for current figures rather than this page.

Security and data

  • All traffic uses TLS. Servers sit behind Cloudflare and the database is not reachable from the internet.
  • Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Payments run on Stripe’s checkout page; LocalSpect never sees the card.
  • A workspace’s markets, lists and results are visible only to its members.
  • AI providers process requests only to answer them and don’t train on customer data.
  • A data processing agreement is included on every plan, with breach notice within 72 hours for data the customer puts into LocalSpect.
  • GDPR, UK GDPR and CCPA/CPRA statements, a service providers list, a retention schedule and a security questionnaire are available on request from the Trust Center.

Results are compiled from public sources and processed with AI. They can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and users are responsible for following the outreach and data protection laws of every country they sell into.

Frequently asked questions

What is LocalSpect?
A tool for people who sell to local businesses. It scans every business in a territory, researches each one against the user’s own questions, and names the owner or manager who decides, with sources behind every answer.
Is LocalSpect a database?
No. A database searches what someone stored once. LocalSpect scans the territory when the user starts, groups what it finds into the companies behind them, and researches each business from its website and public sources.
Is LocalSpect a Google Maps scraper?
No. A scraper hands over a raw list. LocalSpect groups branches under their companies, qualifies each business on the user’s questions and finds the people who decide.
How much does it cost?
There is a free plan. Paid plans are Starter at $40, Standard at $150 and Pro at $500 a month, with 20% off yearly and no per-seat fees. Enterprise is quoted. Each plan includes credits, which pay only for the research the user runs, business by business. Scanning a market never uses credits. Current figures are on the pricing page.
What is a credit?
Credits pay for research on a business: who runs it, a verified email, a direct line, the answer to a question of the user’s own. Every agent shows its price before it runs. Plan credits renew monthly and don’t roll over; bought credits never expire.
What happens when nothing is found?
The answer says Not found. The user pays only what the lookup cost; when the provider charges nothing for a miss, the whole charge comes back.
Does it make things up?
Every answer shows its confidence, its sources and the lines that gave the answer. When nothing credible can be found, the answer is Not found.
Are the emails verified?
Emails are found for the named person and checked against the business’s own domain. Invalid addresses count as not found, and catch-all domains are flagged.
Which countries does it cover?
Any. The user picks a city, a county, a region or a whole country. What’s found follows what Google Maps lists in that place.
Does LocalSpect train AI on customer data?
No. Its AI providers process requests only to answer them and don’t train on customer data.
How do I get access?
Access is by request through the form on the home page. Enterprise questions go through the contact page.

Privacy requests: [email protected]. Legal notices and security reports: [email protected].
